are you heading to the airport soon for an upcoming vacation, work travel, or just as routine transportation? then this lookbook is for you! here are 5 easy airport outfit ideas to wear or recreate next time you head to the airport! what’s great about each of this outfits is that the pieces are quite versatile (which is what you want from your clothes and acessories when traveling!), which means that wherever you are headed, you can re-wear them and re-style them over and over again.
to start, we have a look that is just down right luxurious. if i’m ever flying first class, headed to Paris on vacation for a week (or two), this would be my style inspiration. this all-black travel look is timeless and effortless and is elevated by adding in luxurious travel accessories, such as this Rimowa suitcase, YSL passport holder, and black leather Chloe tote. and don’t even get me started on these sneakers–these are so adorable, and you can wear them with pretty much any outfit. i love looks like this because the black is understated but chic which allows you to be luxuriously stylish in the airport without drawing too much attention.
Necklace | Suitcase | Passport Holder | Tote Bag | Sneakers | Dress | Ring
this look is probably what i wear the most when traveling through airports–its the ultimate comfortable travel outfit. but what’s fun about this one is that it looks more put together with accessories that tie in to each other. with the pink cap, water bottle, and shoes, it looks as though you obviously put thought into what you are wearing (even though you definitely didn’t!). i love these leggings because they are cropped, so even if you are traveling to and from a warm destination, they still keep you cool without having to wear shorts on the plane (i personally do not enjoy wearing shorts on planes). since they are embossed with a little detail, they are different than just normal plain black leggings. moving on, this water bottle is an absolute travel must have–its got a filter in it, so you can save money by not having to buy water bottles, but you don’t have to worry whether or not the water from the fountain is the cleanest. lastly, this carry on Samsonite suitcase is my all-time favorite suitcase. this is the one i personally have and use, and man oh man, have i used it. i have carried this suitcase all over the world for years and years and it’s stood the test of time. and the best part? it’s small enough to fit on even the smallest planes. many times when i am near last to board and others in front of me are forced to gate check their carry ons, the gate agent will look at mine and wave me right on through! they know it will fit in the overhead bins of even the smallest planes! the quality for the price cannot be beat.
Hat | Water Bottle | Suitcase | T-shirt | Leggings | Shoes
this look is the ultimate “i’ve got places to be” airport style. this outfit is great because its casual enough to be comfortable on a flight, but its cute enough that you wouldn’t need to change outfits once you get to your final destination. whether you are flying to meet your best friend in her new city or with your family to a much-needed-vacation, this outfit will make sure you arrive at your final destination effortlessly chic and stylish.
these strappy sandals and hat add such an element of warmth, while the green pants and cropped denim jacket are just must have, versatile closet staples that can be styled so many ways. which is great, so that you can re-wear them different ways on your trip. pair the denim jacket and green pants with a white tee and gold jewelry for a travel look that is as cute as it is easy! adding in luggage that complements the outfit rather than clashing with it is ideal (albeit it takes a little bit of thought and outfit planning). this suitcase is incredibly trendy and complements this look well, as the leather stripes effortlessly blend in with the cognac leather in the tote bag, hat, and sandals. on the other hand, the pink tote adds in such a fun element of color that the outfit needs to be bright and cheery.
Hat | Suitcase | Tote Bag | Shoes | Pants | Jean Jacket | Earrings (such great quality!)
this look is great for the casual flyer who wants to be cute and comfortable but doesn’t want to wear leggings and a t-shirt–it can be dressed up or down quickly if you are going to and from the airport to meetings, classes, home, work, to run errands, or to the hotel. the great thing about this outfit is it incorporates so many neutral pieces that you are sure to already have at home, such as a white tee, blue jeans, and black tote. throw in a neutral colored wrap that can double as a blanket, comfortable headband to hide any greasy roots (seriously, this is the most comfortable, versatile headband I own), and comfy, easy to slip on and off, machine washable sneakers for an easy, neutral airport travel outfit.
Tote Bag | Suitcase | Jeans | Shirt | Headband | Shoes | Wrap | Ring
this look is a great one if you are traveling for work and need a casual, cozy, but professional outfit. these pants are ultra comfortable, this easy to care for silk blouse is so versatile that it won’t wrinkly easily or require a trip to the dry-cleaners when you get home. perhaps the shining star of them all is this cardigan that doubles as a sweater and a blazer! i’ve had my eye on this sweater for a while, and it sells out quickly. to make sure your travel is easy and breezy, make sure to add this Hartmann carry on suitcase to your travel luggage wishlist. this suitcase is so quiet, lightweight, and easy to roll (seriously, the glide is like magic), which is great so that you don’t have to spend excess time and energy lugging your heavy, clunky suitcase around town and arrive looking a little disheveled to your meeting. trust me, and you’ll thank me later. dress the outfit up with a classic luxury tote and some gold, upscale jewelry to make sure you go from runway to board room in style.
